Mount Banks (via ridge) is another of the walks in the Blue Mountains National Park.
This track starts from a picnic area where you can get with you car after driving for a bit over 1 kilometre on a dirt road, mostly downhill. There are some picnic tables and also a toilet should you need it.
When you are ready to start go towards a big rock with a metal plaque because the track via the ridge starts from behind this rock. Don't follow the dirt road that is on the left.
The track is fairly easy with some views along the way. Approaching the summit, about 300 metres before arriving, you will get to a forest where it also gets more narrow and steeper. Pretty soon you will be at the top. Unfortunately the trees won't let you see much from the summit.
There is an option to make a loop on the way down, but we decided to go back the same way we came up.
