Easy walk from the beach to the top of Mount Maunganui (232 m). There are several tracks marked on the mountain and it gets a bit confusing. This hike follows the route to the summit doing a bit of a loop after the summit to have views of the North side.
If going in Summer I would recommend getting there as early as possible so it won't take you ages to find a spot to park the car. This area is extremely popular. I would say more than a thousand people go up this mountain every day during holidays.
It's a very easy walk to the top where the hardest parts are where there are stairs. You get really nice views from several places in the ascent and the best ones are from the top.
