This track goes up Mount Pisa (1963 m) starting from the parking at Snow Farm in Cardrona.

To get to Snow Farm there is a 13 Km private gravel road. There is a gate at the beginning of this road where you need to leave 20$ in the honesty box if you want to go through.
Once you arrive Snow Farm there is a big parking where you can leave your car.

This track follows River Run Track up and down. This is a DOC track even though access is through Snow Farm private land. The first 4 kilometres or so belong to Snow Farm and then you get into DOC land.

After a bit over 3 kilometres there is a hut, Meadow hut. This is not a DOC hut but a Snow Farm hut.

500 Metres after passing Meadow hut you make a right turn on the DOC sign. This is the first DOC sign post you encounter.

All the way to this point has been either downhill or flat and from here is where uphill begins.
About 4 kilometres on the climb you get to Kirtle Burn Hut which, in this case, is a DOC hut.

Keeping a steady climb for another 3 kilometres, never hard or difficult, you get to the summit.
At the summit you find a big group of black rocks that you need to climb in order to see the geodetic survey mark.
From the summit you can see Cromwell and Lake Dustan on the South-East side and the big snowy mountains of the Alps far in the distance to the West.
